Maureen Sellers is coming to the Pickin’ Porch!
October 1, 2011– Townsend, TN, Wood-N-Strings Dulcimer Shop-
I’ll be on the Pickin’ Porch Saturday night. Come out for a fun evening of traditional
music and singing!
During the day on Saturday, October 1, I’ll be teaching an AM and PM class for
the Appalachian Dulcimer.

Class 1
11:00AM-12:30 PM– Class for Novice and up will cover smooth playing, timing,
sing and play and more! Great songs and tunes!

1:30-3:00 PM- Class for Intermediate and Up will look into Performance Art and
putting together some killer sets! We’ll look at some songs to put together and
learn how to present the best set ever! Even if you don’t play out for others now,
it will be a great experience and confidence builder. We’ll look at building good
skills, memorization helps, practice techniques and more!

Class 2
3:30-5:00 PM– Intermediate & Up– Finding more than one part for each song.
There are tips and hidden parts on every piece of tablature if you know where to
look. Come discover the secret!

Class 3
$20.00 each workshop or $50.00 for all three.
Maureen teaches with humor and enthusiasm. Discover more confidence in
your playing. Bits of history for the instrument and the songs are a staple of
Maureen’s workshops.
Maureen’s newest product– “Simply Entertainment for Kids” is out!
Twenty-one songs included with suggestions for fun play and sing utilizing; language
arts, music, art and dance! Many songs appropriate for Rest Home and
Nursing Home gigs too! Help promote and preserve the songs from days gone
by and childhood!
